Tijuana, August 23.- A man was shot and killed this Saturday afternoon in the Jardín Dorado neighborhood, while the car used by the attackers to flee was later located in the Pedregal neighborhood.
The homicide occurred at the intersection of Azucenas and Encinos streets, where municipal police officers found the victim's body lying on the pavement with gunshot wounds.
During the initial inspection of the site, officers seized a firearm found next to the deceased.
Unofficial information indicates that witnesses to the crime said the alleged killers fled the scene in a gray Volkswagen Jetta.
Municipal authorities launched a large search operation in the area, which led to the location of the vehicle reported by witnesses at the intersection of Jade and Amatista streets in the Pedregal neighborhood.
During a search of the car, police found blood stains on the back seat and seized a handgun magazine.
The area where the crime occurred remains under the protection of the Municipal Police, while personnel from the State Attorney General's Office are handling the ministerial investigations into the case.
