Marcus Rashford: MU has no consistent long-term plan

English player Marcus Rashford recently issued a statement criticizing his former club's strategy.

In an interview on the Rest is Football podcast with England legend Gary Lineker and former Manchester City player Micah Richards, Rashford said Manchester United were in "no man's land" due to the lack of a consistent long-term plan.

This statement comes after Rashford spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Aston Villa and has now joined Barcelona on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season.

"United often just react to situations. They try to adapt by signing players who fit a particular system, but the direction is always changing," he was quoted as saying by Sky Sport on Wednesday.

According to Rashford, successful clubs have clear playing principles that new coaches and players must adhere to. However, he feels United haven't yet begun the transition because they lack a consistent playing style across the club.
