Tijuana, February 17.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador maintained that Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda is working in accordance with the Fourth Transformation, and reiterated that she has the support of the Mexican government.
"She was elected by the people of Baja California , and we are working in a coordinated manner with the state government, municipal governments, and the federal government," she stated before local and national media outlets gathered at the Morelos Barracks in Tijuana.
AMLO oversees federal infrastructure projects
López Obrador visited Baja California this Thursday, kicking off a tour of the country's northern states.
The Federal Executive oversaw the progress of two federal infrastructure projects: the Second Floor, which will connect the airport area to Playas de Tijuana , as well as the construction of a new port of entry in the Otay area. On both tours, López Obrador and Marina del Pilar were accompanied by the United States Ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar.
