Indonesian women's volleyball player Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi has officially signed a contract with the Turkish Volleyball League club Manisa BBSK to compete in the Kadinlar 1 Ligi competition for the 2025/2026 season.
"Our player Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi has signed a contract linking her to our colors!" the club posted on its official Instagram account on Tuesday.
Still on Manisa BBSK's official upload, the contract signing procession took place at the Halil Onultmak Sports Facility, which was also attended by club President Murat Ku.
Manisa BBSK wrote that they were very happy to welcome Megawati to the team and hoped that the female volleyball athlete from Jember, East Java, would achieve success with her new club.
Megawati started her career in Türkiye with good capital after previously strengthening the South Korean club, Red Sparks, for two seasons in the South Korean Volleyball League.
In her second season, Megawati contributed significantly to the team's reach the final. However, the Red Sparks fell short of the title in a five-round match, with the Pink Spiders winning 3-2.
After failing in the final match, Megawati decided not to renew her contract with the Red Sparks, even though team management asked her to stay for another season.
