Tijuana, August 8.- The Tijuana Department of Culture's summer programs closed with record numbers: 1,853 children and youth participated in recreational reading workshops, while 259 children enjoyed art camps at the city's Cultural Centers.
The "My Library Vacation 2025" program, which ran from July 14 to August 8, demonstrated sustained growth week after week. The first week saw 374 participants, a figure that increased to 499 by the final week of the program.
The summer camps at the Houses of Culture welcomed 259 children between the ages of five and 12, who explored disciplines such as visual arts, music, dance, theater, chess, and screen printing.
The Tijuana Beaches Cultural Center led the way with 122 children, followed by the main campus with 72. The San Antonio de los Buenos and El Pípila campuses rounded out the program with 40 and 25 participants, respectively.
