More than 500 people enjoyed an evening of tango at the Cecut

Tijuana, March 3. More than 500 people gathered on Thursday, February 27, at the Tijuana Cultural Center's (Cecut) Performance Hall to listen to Camarada Tango Quartet .

The quartet, made up of Argentine composer and double bassist Andrés Martín , flutist Beth Ross Buckley, violinist David Buckley and pianist Dana Burnett, delighted the audience with an extensive repertoire that spanned all eras of tango history and included original compositions.

Pieces such as Taconeando by Pedro Maffia; Inspiración by Enrique Mario Francini; Thelma and Dolores by Andrés Martín; Gallo Ciego by Osvaldo Pugliese ; Otoño Porteño by Astor Piazzolla; and La Trampera by Aníbal Troilo opened the evening, accompanied by two experienced tango dancers who danced across the stage.

After a brief intermission, tango returned to the stage with Tanguera by Mariano Mores; Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla ; Brutal and Tango Íntimo by Andrés Martín; Volver by Carlos Gardel; and A don Agustin Bardi by Horacio Salgán, performances that brought the evening to a close.
