More than 80,000 second-dose vaccines will arrive in BC this Friday.

Tijuana, June 30.- The state's Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, reported that a shipment of more than 2,400 doses of Sinovac and 78,000 doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in Baja California this Friday.

The doctor indicated that the vaccination sites available for second doses of the vaccines will be announced until the shipment leaves Mexico City.

"We will administer the Pfizer vaccine in Tijuana and Mexicali, as well as the Sinovac vaccine, with two vaccination sites in Tijuana and one in Mexicali," the health minister announced during Governor Jaime Bonilla Valdez's live broadcast.

He added that this Wednesday, the only active vaccination site is the Ensenada Health Services Jurisdiction, where they have a supply of the Pfizer vaccine to supplement the population's vaccination schedule.

He reported that in Mexicali they have detected crowds and parties, specifically unauthorized graduations, and that in the valley, specifically at "Km 43," they have observed a high concentration of people in spaces for sports activities.

"COEPRIS will be monitoring compliance with health and safety protocols and ensuring that gatherings in closed spaces where people congregate are avoided. We are not yet at that point in Mexicali," the Secretary of Health stated.
