The state government will invest 30 million pesos for emergency patching, Marina del Pilar announces.

Tijuana, March 29. A budget of 30 million pesos will be allocated for the Emergency Road Maintenance Plan to address the damage caused by the constant rains that have occurred in some municipalities across the state, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda announced this Wednesday.

During her morning press conference, the state leader stated that from March 31st to September 31st, her administration will use 30 million pesos to fund 19 essential road systems in various municipalities across the state.

"First, we will be patching and recycling the asphalt on 251,313 square meters of roads throughout Tijuana," the governor explained, mentioning that this city has been the hardest hit by recent weather events.

He said the primary focus of the Emergency Road Maintenance Program will be coastal municipalities, which are still facing constant rains, which are directly affecting people's mobility.

"We will also work to address the roads that were most affected, especially those where the most potholes appeared with the recent rains," the president declared during the opening of her press conference.

According to a graph the president showed at her press conference, the total square meters of roads that will be rehabilitated during the six-month emergency plan will be nearly 1.3 million, not including the Respira program, which includes several projects of considerable magnitude.
