Tijuana, June 5.- A total of 10 officers from the Tijuana Municipal Police were recognized by the presidents of the Security Committees of the XIII Police District of Santa Fe, with whom they work in coordination on the strategy of crime prevention and strengthening security for the benefit of families in neighborhoods and subdivisions in this sector of the city.
“Every year we try to get more organized, working closely with the municipal police, reporting issues in a timely manner, pointing out what needs to be corrected within the security strategy and, most importantly, generating trust and active participation from residents through the security committees formed by the Crime Prevention and Citizen Participation Directorate of the Tijuana City Council, which has allowed us to this day to be one of the two safest districts in the entire city,” said Ismael Estrada Maldonado, president of the Citizens United for Security Committee (made up of the Loma Blanca Second Section, Los Alcatraces, Terrazas de San Ángel and Ley del Servicio Civil subdivisions).
In this regard, he maintained that police officers assigned to the XIII Santa Fe Police District are constantly evaluated by the communities regarding their response to emergencies, police presence and the attitude with which they perform their duties, which allows for a clearer picture of whether or not things in terms of public safety are working, moving on to monitoring the situation in time at the District Headquarters to reinforce the strategy and achieve better results.
