Pacific Caesar Surabaya management has extended the contract of Andika Supriadi Saputra, also known as Coach Bedu, as head coach to lead the team in the 2026 All-Indonesian Indonesian Basketball League (IBL).
On the IBL page quoted in Jakarta, Friday, Coach Bedu was first announced as Pacific's captain on April 9, replacing Dhimaz Aniz Setiaputra.
The decision to replace the coach was taken by management after the pride of the people of Surabaya, East Java, experienced a difficult start to the 2025 IBL season.
Pacific, who were targeting to qualify for the playoffs , actually slumped at the start of the competition.
According to competition statistics, from January to March, they only recorded three wins in 12 matches, a 3-9 record. In fact, nine consecutive losses contributed to this record.
The results of the match made the management decide to change coaches in the middle of the regular season.
