People are urged to complete their vaccination schedule; more than 50,000 doses remain.

Tijuana, July 11.- The state's Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, urged the population to complete their COVID-19 vaccination schedule and receive the "booster" from the shipment of "second doses" that arrived in the state.

The doctor indicated that more than 104,000 vaccines have been administered, but more than 50,000 doses remain to be administered.

"We're waiting for them. At the three vaccination sites we have in Tijuana (Imos), Lázaro Cárdenas Federal Preparatory School, and UABC), there's zero wait time. People are arriving, but not as many as we expected."

Pérez Rico warned that "moderate and severe" COVID-19 is affecting unvaccinated people and that there are more cases of the "mild" form, while hospitalizations are declining.
