President Prabowo Subianto has added two new agencies to the Ministry of Defense's organizational structure, namely the Defense Maintenance and Care Agency and the National Reserves Agency, as stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 85 of 2025.
Presidential Decree Number 85 of 2025 concerning Amendments to Presidential Decree Number 151 of 2024 concerning the Ministry of Defense was signed by President Prabowo.
In the Presidential Decree, President Prabowo also changed the nomenclature of several names of organizations within the Ministry of Defense, including the Defense Logistics Agency which was originally the Defense Facilities Agency , then there is the Defense Technology Agency which was originally called the Research and Development Agency, and the Human Resources Development Agency which was originally called the Education and Training Agency , then finally there is the Defense Intelligence Information and Communication Agency which was originally called the Defense Strategic Installation Agency.
The rules regarding the new structure of the Ministry of Defense, namely the Defense Maintenance and Care Agency, are found in Part Eight A, Article 35A paragraph (1) and paragraph (2), then Article 35B, Article 35C, and Article 35D.
