Indonesian tennis player Priska Madelyn Nugroho and her Belgian partner Tilwith Di Girolami won the ITF W35 Erwitte doubles title in Germany.
Competing in the final round, Priska/Tilwith, who were seeded third in the clay court tournament, successfully defeated the fourth seeded host pair Laura Boehner/Mina Hodzic in two straight sets 7-6(10), 6-1.
"The sudden decision to play turned out to be so much fun! Thank you @tilwithdigirolami, I really enjoyed it," Priska wrote in a carousel of photos on her social media, mentioning her colleague by name.
"Thank you @dev1lt0s for taking such good care of me these past 5 weeks," Priska said, referring to her trainer's account, Tos Puengrassamee.
However, Priska, who was seeded second in the singles sector, had to run aground in the first round after losing to German qualifier Anna Petkovic 4-6, 1-6.
The ITF W35 Erwitte tournament marks Priska's fourth tournament on the European Tour. The 20-year-old began her tour with the ITF W35 Horb tournament in Germany at the end of July.
Priska lost in the opening round to sixth-seeded Julia Avdeeva in the tournament. In the doubles event, Priska, partnering with Serbian Dalila Jakupovic, received a bye as the top seed.
However, Priska/Dalila stopped in the quarterfinals after losing to host tennis players Tessa Johanna Brockmann/Josy Daems.
Continuing at the ITF W75 Hechingen, Priska suffered another first-round defeat. However, the Jakarta-born player managed to reach the semifinals in the doubles event with South Korean Park Sohyun.
Priska then competed in the Flanders Ladies Trophy Koksijde ITF W50+H tournament in Belgium. The seventh seed was defeated in the singles quarterfinals by Ikumi Yamazaki.
Priska, who paired with the Japanese tennis player to be seeded third in the doubles event, was stopped in the quarterfinals.
