Rahmad Darmawan hopes the U-23 team's performance will be more stable in the qualifiers.

Former Indonesian U-23 national team coach Rahmad Darmawan hopes the national team, now coached by Gerald Vanenburg, will display a more stable game in the 2026 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers on September 3-9 at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo.

"Yesterday, we played well in matches one and two. But we declined in the following matches. So, that's what I hope doesn't happen," Rahmad told reporters, after observing the Garuda Muda's fluctuating performance during their run to the finals of the ASEAN U-23 Championship in Jakarta last July.

In this qualifying round, Garuda Muda is in Group J as the host to face Laos, Macau, and South Korea.
