Tijuana, September 18.- The National Meteorological Service (SMN) forecast heavy rains in several states caused by tropical wave number 31.
The states that will be most affected are Chiapas, with intense rainfall ; very heavy in Campeche, Oaxaca, and Tabasco ; and severe in Veracruz and Puebla , which could lead to intense rainfall, landslides, and flooding.
The National Water Commission ( Conagua ) announced that there will be low-pressure channels that will affect Nayarit, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas, where very heavy rains could occur.
Aguascalientes, Mexico City , Durango, the State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, and Querétaro will also experience heavy rain. The rain could be accompanied by lightning, wind currents, and hail.
The hot weather , with temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees, will continue in Baja California , Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Tamaulipas, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
