PSMS Medan supporters who are members of the PSMS Fans Club (PFC) said that the North Sumatra Main Stadium is a motivation for their favorite team to achieve success in the Indonesian League 2.
"We are delighted to hear that the North Sumatra Main Stadium will be the home of PSMS. The stadium will further fuel our enthusiasm for success," said PFC coach Hendra Sihaloho in Medan on Friday.
He said that the use of the stadium as the home base for PSMS Medan in navigating the Indonesian league has long been awaited by the public, especially the club's supporters.
Hendra said the supporters had made various efforts to get the government to allow the club nicknamed 'Ayam Kinantan' to use the stadium that was previously used as the closing arena for the North Sumatra-Aceh National Sports Week (PON) in North Sumatra.
"We are grateful. The North Sumatra Provincial Government has allowed PSMS Medan to use the stadium," he said.
