Persib Bandung held a friendly match against the Australian club, Western Sydney Wanderers (WSW), at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Bandung City, Saturday (2/8), as part of preparations for the 2025/2026 BRI Super League competition.
Persib Bandung coach Bojan Hodak said this match is crucial in assessing the team's readiness before the new season, including the Asian competition.
"Even though this is just a friendly, we need to play a tough match because this year we are playing in ACL 2 again," Hodak said in Bandung
