Maricarmen Flores, a candidate for mayor for the National Action Party (PAN), denied the authenticity of an audio recording in which she allegedly discusses the elections with Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero.
In an interview, Flores admitted to having had multiple meetings with the mayor, but clarified that these were in his capacity as a journalist.
He also stated that he has not held any meetings with Caballero since he became a candidate or during the election campaign.
The PAN candidate announced that her final campaign event will take place on May 29th. The rally will be held at the Agua Caliente Tower Park, where she hopes to welcome her supporters and the community who wish to join.
