The Baja California government will be the liaison for issuing CURPs for repatriated immigrants in Tijuana.

Tijuana, October 20.- In anticipation of the launch of the Unique Population Registry Code (CURP) for repatriates from the United States , the state government will act as a liaison through the State Civil Registry Office in Baja California.

Paloma Alegria Murrieta, head of the state agency, mentioned that the provisional CURP with photograph will be valid for one year and will be issued by the National Migration Institute (INM) , through the National Population Registry (RENAPO) platform .

"This program seeks to guarantee the right to identity for those Mexicans who were repatriated from the United States to our country and do not have documents to claim their Mexican nationality."
