The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the issuance of Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 130 of 2024 concerning the Additional Hajj Quota for 1445 Hijri/2024 AD, which regulates the distribution of the Hajj quota at that time.
"Did (the Minister of Religious Affairs, ed.) actually draft the decree himself, or was it already finalized? Was someone else drafting the decree, then, as they say, submitting it to the person concerned for signature? Well, that's what we're currently investigating," said Asep Guntur Rahayu, Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), at the KPK's Red and White Building.
In addition, Asep said the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) would investigate the process of making the decree, namely a proposal from a subordinate then followed up by a superior, or an order from a superior carried out by a subordinate.
"So, we're looking at it, as we said at the beginning, who gave the orders? Was there someone higher up who gave the orders, or what? Well, that's what we're currently investigating," he said.
