Tecate, October 17.- The Baja California State Attorney General's Office paid tribute to Subcomandante Gerardo González Zamorano, who was murdered last Monday, October 14, as he left his home in Loma Bonita, Tijuana.
State Attorney General María Elena Andrade Ramírez expressed her regret for the cowardly attack against Agent Zamorano, who had 20 years of investigative experience and had made significant progress in important cases in Tijuana and Tecate.
"Unfortunately, we carried out this event in the wake of the cowardly attack on our deputy commander, who was in very complicated, high-risk areas," he stated.
Meanwhile, during his weekly press conference, Tecate Mayor Román Cota Muñoz condemned Zamorano's murder and said that, if necessary, his administration is willing to collaborate to clarify the facts.
