Tijuana, April 12. The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) is offering a reward of up to 500,000 pesos to anyone who provides relevant information leading to the location and capture of Víctor Hugo Rocha García, who is wanted for the alleged crime of rape committed in Mexicali.
In a public investigation, the FGE invites »
the population to join forces to provide information that leads to the location of Víctor Hugo Rocha García, 35 years old, who is being sought for investigation purposes (PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL HIS RESPONSIBILITY IS PROVEN BY A SENTENCE ISSUED BY THE JURISDICTIONAL BODY, ART. 13 CNPP) for being a person of interest in an investigation being conducted for the probable commission of the crime of rape.
Víctor Hugo Rocha García was the leader of the youth group Voces de Cristo Geshet, which operated in Catholic churches. Some of its members were his victims, whom he manipulated and told them he was the "reincarnation of the devil." According to information circulated prior to the investigation, he had 11 complaints filed against him.
The FGE assures that "the Attorney General's Office will provide various mechanisms for protection and confidentiality of identity to anyone who provides relevant information that allows for their location and capture."
