The Hajj Bill was passed on Tuesday, with the Palace hoping for improved Hajj implementation.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who is also the Spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, hopes that the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage will be better in the future after the House of Representatives (DPR) approves the Hajj Bill (RUU), which is a revision of Law Number 8/2019.

Over the past few days, including this weekend, Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives has been accelerating discussions on the Hajj Bill, hoping that it will be approved and ratified in the Plenary Session at the MPR, DPR, and DPD RI Complex.

"There's only one clear hope: that the implementation of the Hajj will be even better," Prasetyo said when met on the sidelines of his Merdeka Run 8.0K event in Jakarta on Sunday, responding to reporters' questions about the Hajj Bill, which will be passed on Tuesday.

Pras, as he is popularly known, did not elaborate on the details of the Hajj Bill. He simply responded, "It's being finalized in the DPR."
