The group's military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said in a televised statement: "The missile force carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport in the Jaffa (Tel Aviv) area with a hypersonic ballistic missile of the "Palestine 2" type, bypassing Israeli interception systems."
He stressed that the operation "caused great confusion among the ranks of the Israeli enemy, with millions of usurping Zionists fleeing to shelters, and the airport being suspended," adding that "the Air Force carried out two military operations with two drones that targeted two targets belonging to the Israeli enemy, one military and the other vital, in the Jaffa and Ashkelon areas of occupied Palestine."
Saree stressed that "the three operations successfully achieved their objectives," noting that these operations represent "a victory for the Palestinian people and a response to the crimes of genocide and starvation perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in Gaza."
Earlier, several Israelis were injured and Tel Aviv airspace was closed after a missile was fired from Yemen, according to the Israeli emergency services, Magen David Adom. The Israeli military said it was intercepted.
