The occupation's massacres raise the death toll in Gaza amid worsening famine and warnings of a health disaster threatening children.

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, 101 Palestinians were killed and 625 others injured in the past 24 hours. The Ministry confirmed that the number of aid-seekers alone has reached 1,320 martyrs and 8,818 injured since May 27, due to direct attacks while they were awaiting aid.

Since dawn on Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces have launched several deadly attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 25 Palestinians, including children and aid workers.

The Al-Awda Hospital administration said the number of martyrs arriving at the hospital had risen to 12, with 60 wounded, after the Israeli army targeted Palestinians waiting for aid near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street in the central Gaza Strip.

Thirteen other Palestinians were killed in airstrikes targeting displaced persons' tents and homes in northern Gaza, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Yunis, including five children, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.

Meanwhile, four Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces north of Rafah while waiting to receive food aid.

Amid the ongoing aggression and starvation, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has warned of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, noting that 25 cases of severe malnutrition are being recorded daily in its clinics, and that the number of children under the age of five suffering from malnutrition has tripled in recent weeks.

"We have been working in Gaza for 25 years, and we have never witnessed a humanitarian disaster of this magnitude, even in previous wars," said Enas Abu Khalaf, the organization's regional communications officer. "There is no food, no electricity, no water, and people are risking their lives for a loaf of bread."

She added that the situation in Gaza "leaves no room for so-called humanitarian action," noting that current aid is "just a drop in the ocean of needs," given the tight blockade, ongoing bombardment, and severe shortages of medical and food supplies, particularly in the northern Gaza Strip.

Abu Khalaf also criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation initiative, run by Israel and the United States outside the framework of the United Nations, describing it as "a cover for the continued daily killing of civilians."

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) described the situation in Gaza as a "worst-case scenario for famine," and called for "flooding the Strip with aid" to prevent the catastrophe.

On Monday, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher said that one in three Palestinians in Gaza had not eaten for days and called for the rapid delivery of aid.

Abu Khalaf noted that the Israeli bombing forced Doctors Without Borders to evacuate some health centers, stressing that the unsafe situation in Gaza undermines the ability to deliver medical services. She emphasized that there is virtually no such thing as a "humanitarian space" in Gaza, and that calls to lift the Israeli blockade and ceasefire "are falling on deaf ears."

Abu Khalaf warned of a severe shortage of baby milk and basic supplies such as incubators and ultrasound machines, particularly in hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, stressing that infant care units are facing difficulties (which she did not specify).

She criticized the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," led by Israel and the United States, describing it as "a cover for the ongoing daily killings," stressing that "people are risking their lives to obtain food, while hospitals struggle to survive."

Beyond the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv began implementing an aid distribution plan on May 27 through the Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation, an organization supported by Israel and the United States but rejected by the United Nations.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

In addition to the martyrs and wounded, most of whom were children and women, the genocide left more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
