Xiaomi is reportedly planning to include satellite communication features in its new mobile phone products, including the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 foldable phone.
a technology information leaker on Weibo named Experience More who said that Xiaomi has recently been actively integrating satellite communication systems into its devices.
After the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Satellite Edition, the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip 3, with model numbers 2603APX0AC and 2603EPX2DC and codename Pixiu, will be Xiaomi's new satellite communication device.
Xiaomi's ambition to expand the use of satellite communication features to more devices was confirmed in early July 2025, when a device with the model number "25104RADAC" received radio approval from Chinese authorities.
This approval explicitly confirms support for BeiDou short message satellite communications on the device.
The device is believed to be the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Satellite Edition, making it the first Redmi phone and the first across the Redmi lineup, including the premium K and K Ultra series, to support satellite messaging.
Another tech leaker, Digital Chat Station, clarified that satellite messaging will not be a standard feature across all variants.
