The rector of the UABC gave his first report on activities

 

Mexicali, February 24.- The rector of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), Dr. Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre, presented his first activity report at a session of the University Council.

The event took place at the University Theater, attended by members of the university community, the University Board of Trustees and the Governing Board, former rectors, educational authorities, and representatives of higher education institutions, as well as heads of various federal and state government bodies, led by the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda.

 With the goal of making the university's achievements and progress transparent, the rector presented the results of his first year in office in accordance with the five institutional priorities of the 2023-2027 PDI.

 1. Comprehensive, flexible, lifelong learning

The educational offering currently includes 151 bachelor's programs, of which 132 are evaluable and all have been accredited by national organizations such as COPAES and CIEES. Through the Flexible Teacher Training and Development Program (PFFDD), 4,537 teachers were trained in 113 courses, covering topics such as the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching, the prevention of gender-based violence in the university setting, and other topics.
