Mexico City, July 12.—The Senate will be closely monitoring the results of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's tour of the United States to analyze the scope of the agreements between the two nations, within the framework of the Senate's powers to evaluate foreign policy.
The president of the Political Coordination Board, Ricardo Monreal, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting between President López Obrador and Joe Biden and expressed his hope that Mexico will successfully address our country's priority agenda in matters of security, trade, and migration.
Within the framework of the Transparency and Access to Information Forum, Ricardo Monreal considered that the economic devastation caused by the pandemic, the effects of climate change, and other topics will inevitably be discussed in these bilateral talks, but he expressed confidence that migration will be one of the key topics.
"A legal, orderly, humanly acceptable migration that cannot be restricted by coercion and in which human rights are fundamental," he emphasized.
