Montserrat Murillo López presented a request to the federal government to implement structural programs that address violence from a mental health perspective, specifically targeting children and youth in vulnerable situations.
The congresswoman argued that developing programs with a focus on human rights and youth participation represents an urgent obligation for the authorities.
"These programs are fundamental pillars for building safe, cohesive, and future-oriented communities. Therefore, investing in prevention and mental health means investing in peace, human development, and social justice," said Murillo López.
The legislator emphasized that violence prevention, comprehensive youth care, and strengthening mental health cannot continue to be secondary tasks or reactive responses.
