Three Indonesian representatives secured their place in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Malaysia International Series Challenge after defeating their respective opponents at the Perak Badminton Arena, MBI Sports Complex, Ipoh.
The top eight tickets come from the women's singles and mixed doubles sectors.
In the women's singles, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari became the only Indonesian representative to qualify after defeating Eng Ler Qi from Malaysia 17-15, 15-12 in the second round.
The third seed will next face Isharani Baruah of India on Friday (August 15). Isharani previously defeated another Indonesian representative, Deswanti Hujansih Nurtertiati, 13-15, 13-15.
Chiara Marvella Nurhandoyo also lost to Siti Zulaikha (Malaysia) 20-18, 7-15, 13-15.
The mixed doubles event saw two Indonesian representatives advance to the quarterfinals. Top seeds Zaidan Arrafi Awal Nabawi and Jessica Maya Risxmawardani defeated Malaysian pair Wee Yee Tern and Clarissa San 15-6, 12-15, 15-7.
