Acts of violence perpetrated by criminal gangs continue unabated in Ecuador amid the "internal armed conflict" declared by the government, which has mobilized the military to neutralize 22 groups identified as "terrorists."
During Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, police confirmed two explosive attacks, one at a police station in the El Conde neighborhood, in the south of the Ecuadorian capital, Quito, which caused extensive damage and no casualties.
Another explosion occurred at a nightclub in the city of El Coca, in the northeastern province of Orellana, leaving one dead, five injured with burns, and material damage.
"Police units immediately mobilized to gather evidence and locate the alleged perpetrators , " the police reported today on their account on the social network X.
