The World Anti-Doping Agency has sent a letter to Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo, highlighting the ongoing failure of Indonesia's anti-doping program to promote clean sport.
"I would like to convey your urgent concern regarding the current inactive status of the anti-doping program in Indonesia," read the WADA letter signed by WADA Asia/Oceania Office Director YaYa Yamamoto, as quoted .
In the letter issued on August 28, 2025, Yamamoto said, this situation (unsustainable anti-doping program) raises significant concerns regarding the country's compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code and the protection of clean athletes.
