Khaled Boujemaa, a member of the Maghreb Steadfastness Fleet, said that 11 ships left the port of Bizerte from Saturday evening until Sunday evening, while three ships left the port of Gammarth in the capital, Tunis, on Sunday.
Two ships also departed Sidi Bou Said port, while a third ship is ready to set sail pending the completion of some logistical procedures.
Earlier on Sunday, Ghassan Al-Hanshiri, spokesman for the Maghreb Steadfastness Flotilla, confirmed that two Tunisian ships had left the port of Gammarth for Gaza, with a third ship preparing to depart soon. He noted that there were eight Tunisian ships docked at the port.
Al-Hanshiri indicated that there are other ships in Sidi Bou Said port, and that ships have also departed from Italy and Spain, and that they are all scheduled to meet at sea toward Gaza.
It is noteworthy that the International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza announced on Saturday the departure of the first ship of the Global Steadfastness Flotilla from the port of Bizerte in northern Tunisia.

The Global Steadfastness Fleet comprises approximately 50 vessels assembled in Tunisian ports, including a 23-ship Maghreb convoy, in addition to 22 foreign vessels from European countries, Latin America, the United States, Pakistan, India, and Malaysia, according to fleet sources.
The convoys departed from the ports of Barcelona, Spain, and Genoa, Italy, in late August and early September, arriving off the Tunisian coast in preparation for their departure to Gaza to break the Israeli blockade and open a humanitarian corridor.
Hundreds of people from 47 Arab and Western countries, including politicians, artists, and parliamentarians, are participating in the flotilla, the largest gathering of ships bound for Gaza. Israel has previously intercepted individual ships and detained activists.
Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza since March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, leading to a severe famine in the Strip. Israel occasionally allows limited amounts of aid into the Strip, which are insufficient to meet basic needs.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been waging a military campaign that has killed more than 64,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, injured hundreds of thousands, displaced hundreds of thousands, and triggered a famine that has claimed the lives of hundreds.
