A drone launched from Yemen exploded near a hotel in Eilat, southern Israel.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said the drone exploded at the entrance to a hotel in the city, with no immediate reports of deaths or injuries.

For its part, the Hebrew newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported that the hotel near which the explosion occurred is called "Jacob," noting that the explosion resulted in material damage to the site. Meanwhile, the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that air raid sirens were heard throughout the city of Eilat prior to the explosion.

The Houthi group had not yet issued any comment on the incident, even though it had previously announced targeting Israeli sites in support of the Gaza Strip in the face of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 65,141 Palestinians dead and 165,925 injured, most of them children and women, and causing a famine that has claimed the lives of 435 Palestinians, including 147 children.
