The newspaper added, "The launch of the ballistic missile from Yemen led to millions of Israelis entering shelters, and the closure of airspace at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv... Several planes on their way to land remained in the air."
She continued: "An Israir flight coming from Basel, a Trade Air flight coming from Budapest, and an Uzbekistan Airways flight coming from Tashkent had to wait for instructions until the airspace was reopened," as the closure took only minutes.
For his part, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree announced in a statement that "a qualitative military operation was carried out with a hypersonic ballistic missile (Palestine 2) against a sensitive enemy target in occupied Jaffa (Tel Aviv)," without providing details about the target.

He pointed out that "the unmanned aerial vehicle carried out another military operation on Ramon Airport in the Umm al-Rashrash area (Eilat)," in southern Israel.
