Ahead of the "extraordinary summit," Qatar's Prime Minister calls for concrete measures to punish Israel.

During a speech at the Arab-Islamic ministerial meeting preceding the extraordinary and emergency summit scheduled for Monday in Doha, Bin Abdulrahman said, "Israel's continued violation of international law was evident in the barbaric attack on Doha, and concrete measures must be taken to halt this excesses." He added, "The Israeli attack on Doha can only be described as state terrorism."

He stressed that the reckless and treacherous Israeli aggression was perpetrated while Qatar was hosting official and public negotiations, with the knowledge of the Israeli side itself, and with the aim of achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners and hostages.

He stressed that this aggression will only serve to undermine attempts at calm and confirms the Israeli government's intention to reject peaceful paths to resolving the Palestinian issue and to continue defying international will and the UN Charter, as evidenced by repeated statements by Israeli officials regarding the annexation of Palestinian territories and the illusions of a greater Israel.

The Qatari Prime Minister urged the international community to stop applying "double standards," calling for Israel to be punished for its crimes. He said, "It is time for the international community to stop applying double standards and punish Israel for all the crimes it has committed."

Earlier today, foreign ministers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League began a meeting in Doha, chaired by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

Last Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army launched an airstrike on the Hamas leadership in Doha. Qatar condemned the attack, reiterating its right to respond to the attack, which killed a member of Qatar's internal security forces.

For its part, Hamas announced that its negotiating delegation, led by its head in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, survived the assassination attempt, and that its office director, Jihad Labad, his son, Humam al-Hayya, and three companions were killed.

The attack targeted a meeting of Hamas leaders discussing a new US proposal for a prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli aggression against Qatar's sovereignty sparked Arab and international condemnation, with calls for deterring Tel Aviv to halt attacks that violate international law.

The attack on Qatar came despite its mediation role, alongside Egypt and under US supervision, in indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel aimed at reaching a prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement.

With this attack, Israel expanded its aggression in the region. It launched an attack on Iran last June, has been perpetrating ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank for nearly two years, and has carried out airstrikes on Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
