The occupation continues to destroy Gaza's towers, while starvation victims rise, and medical supplies are in dire need.

the Israeli occupation forces destroyed the Al-Kawthar residential tower in western Gaza City, bombed the upper floors of the Mahna Tower, and targeted a building at the Islamic University, which houses thousands of displaced people in the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the Al-Kawthar Tower, despite the presence of displaced people's tents in its vicinity.

The Israeli occupation forces also targeted the upper floors of the Mahna Tower with an airstrike, without completely destroying it. This followed a warning to evacuate the tower and surrounding areas west of Gaza City. The Israeli occupation forces also targeted the Medina building at the Islamic University, which had previously been destroyed, after warning thousands of displaced persons to leave immediately.

"systematic bombing"

For its part, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army continues its systematic bombing of residential towers, buildings, schools, and civilian institutions, under the pretext of "targeting the resistance," while its real goal is "extermination and forced displacement."

"The occupation is misleading public opinion by claiming to be targeting the resistance, while it is carrying out systematic bombing of residential towers, buildings, schools, and civilian institutions with the aim of extermination and forced displacement," the office said in a statement.

He stressed that "while the (Israeli occupation army) claims to be targeting the resistance, the facts on the ground prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the occupation is deliberately, and in accordance with a clear methodology, bombing schools, mosques, hospitals, and medical centers, destroying towers and residential buildings, destroying the tents of displaced people, and targeting the headquarters of various institutions, including international institutions working in the humanitarian field."

The office explained that "the occupation is attempting to justify its organized and systematic crimes by promoting misleading narratives in various local and international media outlets, while the facts on the ground reveal killings, destruction, and displacement that have nothing to do with the false pretexts and allegations it is promoting."

 shortage of medical supplies

In a related development, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Sunday that there is a severe shortage of life-saving solutions and supplies in hospitals within the Israeli-besieged enclave, and called for urgent intervention to bring them in.

The ministry said in a statement that "laboratory units and blood banks in hospitals are suffering from a severe shortage of solutions and consumables for life-saving tests," and warned that "solutions for blood salt tests, CBC blood gas tests, and virus tests are unavailable, which hinders the completion of tests for patients and the wounded."

She stressed that "the Ministry of Health (in the Gaza Strip), through the World Health Organization, has worked to provide the required items, and they are currently in the organization's warehouses in the (occupied) West Bank." She called on "the relevant authorities to urgently intervene to complete the necessary coordination, to bring in laboratory items, and to facilitate their safe arrival to blood banks in hospitals."

Martyrs and wounded in ongoing bombardment of Gaza... The occupation destroys a new residential tower and schools housing displaced people.

Since May 2024, the Israeli occupation forces have controlled the Palestinian side of the Rafah land crossing, preventing the entry of aid, medicine shipments, and healthcare supplies. They have also prevented the wounded and sick from leaving Gaza for treatment, exacerbating the humanitarian situation inside the Strip.

The number of starvation victims is rising

For its part, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll from malnutrition resulting from Israel's ongoing starvation policy for nearly two years had risen to 422 Palestinians, including 145 children.

The ministry said in a statement that it had recorded "two deaths due to famine and malnutrition" in the past 24 hours, adding that this brings "the total number of deaths due to malnutrition to 422 martyrs, including 145 children," since October 7, 2023.

This comes as the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli genocide has risen to 64,871 martyrs and 164,610 wounded since October 7, 2023.

This came according to its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocide against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The ministry said, "Over the past 24 hours, 68 martyrs and 346 new injuries have arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals." It noted that "a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them at this time."

The ministry reported that "the death toll and injuries since March 18, 2025 (the resumption of the Israeli genocide) until today has reached 12,321 martyrs and 52,569 injuries."

Regarding the Palestinian casualties among those awaiting aid, the ministry said, "The number of aid-seekers who arrived at hospitals over the past 24 hours reached 10 martyrs and 8 injured." It added, "The total number of livelihood-seekers who arrived at hospitals has risen to 2,494 martyrs and more than 18,135 injured" since May 27.

In the same context, the Israeli occupation forces have killed 33 Palestinians and injured others in separate attacks on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Sunday. The army has also renewed its warning to Palestinians in Gaza City to evacuate and head southward via Rashid Al-Bahri Street.

This comes amid the ongoing genocidal war it launched nearly two years ago, and its efforts to completely occupy Gaza City and displace Palestinians from it.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
