"It achieved its goals." Al-Houthi announces attacks on Israel's Ramon Airport and a military area in the Negev.

The group's military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said in a statement, "The Yemeni Armed Forces Air Force carried out a qualitative military operation using drones targeting Ramon Airport and the Negev region."

The statement explained that the operation was carried out by four drones, "three of which targeted Ramon Airport in the Umm al-Rashrash area (Eilat), while the fourth drone targeted a military target in the Negev region."

The military spokesman indicated that the operation had successfully achieved its objectives.

The Houthi announcement came hours after Israel closed airspace over Ramon Airport (south) following a drone attack launched from Yemen, the second such attack in a week.

The occupation army said in a statement: "The sirens were activated regarding the infiltration of an enemy aircraft (drone) in the Be'er Ora area (in the Araba Valley), and the details are being examined."

The Houthi group attacks Israel with missiles and drones, and also targets ships linked to or heading toward it. It claims its attacks are in response to Israel's ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 64,871 Palestinians dead and 164,610 wounded, most of them children and women, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 422 Palestinians, including 145 children.
