The AirPods Pro 3, introduced at Apple's new product launch event come with improved noise-canceling features as well as support for a heart rate sensor and a longer-lasting battery than its predecessor.
According to Apple's press release, the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature on the AirPods Pro 3 can reduce noise up to two times more than the previous generation AirPods Pro and four times more than the original AirPods Pro.
When listening to music with ANC enabled, AirPods Pro 3 users can now play music for up to eight hours, a 33 percent increase compared to the capabilities of the previous generation device.
Users can now also use AirPods Pro 3 to measure heart rate and track the impact of more than 50 types of exercise with the help of the Fitness app on iPhone.
Apple Fitness+ users with AirPods Pro 3 can see real-time performance metrics on the screen, such as heart rate and calories burned.
The Live Translation feature is presented to make it easier for users to have face-to-face conversations with people who do not speak the same language.
Translation is currently available in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. Translations in Italian, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese will be available later this year.
The battery life of AirPods Pro 3 in "Transparency" mode has been increased by 67 percent compared to the previous generation, allowing for up to 10 hours of use on a single charge.
"Combined with an improved fit that provides better stability for more people, a heart rate sensor, longer battery life, and Live Translation powered by Apple Intelligence, AirPods Pro 3 take personal audio to the next level," said John Ternus, Apple's Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering.
Additionally, AirPods Pro 3 now provide up to eight hours of continuous music playback, a 33 percent increase over its predecessor.
