The Flemish public broadcaster VTR said in a statement that Brussels will announce its final decision on participation at the end of the year, indicating its support for the positions of Ireland, Spain, Slovenia, Iceland, and the Netherlands, which have announced their withdrawal from the competition if Israel is not excluded.
The statement explained that the final decision will be made by the Belgian public broadcaster RTBF , which is responsible for representing the country in the 2026 edition according to a rotation system between the two bodies, as Belgium's participation in Eurovision is managed according to a rotation system between the French- and Flemish-speaking public broadcasters.
