AMLO recognizes García and Colosio's aspirations in NL

Monterrey, NL., July 30.- The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, and the mayor of Monterrey, Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas, both from the Citizen Movement, can compete alongside Morena for the Presidency of the Republic, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador admitted.

After spending the night in the state capital, in a brief interview upon leaving the Ambassador Hotel in the city center, the federal president said he viewed both sides' aspirations very favorably.

"Very well (the aspirations of García and Colosio), Nuevo León is very important, it has a good, hard-working, progressive people, the people of Nuevo León are unique, it is one of the most entrepreneurial communities, people dedicated to work and also with a democratic vocation," said López Obrador, when asked about the possible aspirations of the MC politicians.

Do you see them competing with Morena, Samuel and Colosio? – he was asked.

López Obrador recognized the right of the governor of Nuevo León and the mayor of Monterrey to compete. "Of course, everyone can, everyone can, it's the people who decide," he responded succinctly.

Before leaving Nuevo León, AMLO took photographs with guests and employees after meeting with Monterrey businessman Alfonso Romo Garza.

The President headed to the military air base next to the Seventh Zone, located next to the Northern Airport, from where he would fly to Mexico City.

After the meeting with the federal president, Alfonso Romo Garza said he had a friendly chat with AMLO, where they discussed various topics, without elaborating on any of them.
