Mexico City, June 25.- The Attorney General's Office (FGR) reported the seizure of 79,975 fentanyl pills during an operation carried out on the Culiacán-Los Mochis highway in the state of Sinaloa.
The ministry announced that "in response to an anonymous complaint, officers from the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) and the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) went to the aforementioned section and located the packages containing the drugs in a spot on the side of the road."
Following the discovery, the fentanyl pills—a substance considered 100 times more potent than heroin—were handed over to the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) to continue the investigation into whoever is found responsible for crimes against public health.
