Mexico City, January 5. Low temperatures with some frost are forecast for this Sunday. In the Durango area, temperatures will range between -15 and -10 degrees Celsius.
Frost will also occur in mountainous areas of Sonora and Chihuahua, with temperatures ranging from -10 to -5 degrees Celsius, as well as in mountainous areas of Baja California, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Tlaxcala, Puebla, and the State of Mexico.
Temperatures will range from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius in high-altitude areas of Baja California, Sinaloa, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Nayarit, Queretaro, Hidalgo, Morelos, Mexico City, Veracruz, and Chiapas.
Due to cold front number 21 over northern and northeastern Mexico, the polar jet stream, the Arctic air mass, the entry of humid air from the Caribbean Sea, the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico and the high pressure system.
As for maximum temperatures, they will range from 35 to 40 degrees Celsius in Sinaloa, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, and Chiapas. And between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius in Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Nayarit, Jalisco, Campeche, and Yucatán.
