Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti continued to praise his players' performance despite losing 0-1 to hosts Bolivia in their final match of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Conmebol zone.
Quoting the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) website in Jakarta on Wednesday, Ancelotti said his players had given their all in the match at the El Alto Municipal Stadium, which is located at an altitude of around 4,100 meters above sea level.
"We have to take the positives from this match. The players fought hard because it's not easy to play in this stadium. Everyone knows that. It was a very difficult match, both physically and technically," said Ancelotti.
When he met Bolivia, he fielded several players who had not had much playing time with the Brazilian national team.
The players are Alexsandro Ribeiro, Fabricio Bruno, Andrey Santos, Caio Henrique and Samuel Lino.
"I want to give every player playing time because they have worked hard all week and some of them performed well in the 3-0 win over Chile on Friday (September 5)," said Ancelotti.
