Minister of Housing and Settlements Maruarar Sirait confirmed that the renovation of 500 housing units in Johar Baru, will be completed before Eid 2026.
He conveyed this when attending the handover of the keys for Phase II of the Village Improvement Program in Johar Baru District .
"My message is to continue monitoring the implementation on the ground to ensure it is on time," said Minister Ara.
The Village Improvement Program is a collaborative effort to renovate uninhabitable houses carried out by the Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation.
To date, 66 housing units have been recorded as having been renovated.
"This is a mutual cooperation program for red and white renovations that does not use state funds.
