The private Cairo News Channel quoted an unidentified Egyptian security source as saying that Cairo and Doha had presented Hamas with President Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza, and that the movement confirmed it would study the proposal in good faith, positively, and objectively.
In the same context, the State of Palestine welcomed the US President's efforts to end the war in Gaza and affirmed its commitment to working with the United States and its partners to reach a comprehensive agreement that "paves the way for a just peace based on the two-state solution."
The foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan also welcomed , in a joint statement, Trump's announcement of his proposal, which includes ending the war in the Gaza Strip, rebuilding the territory, preventing the displacement of the Palestinian people, and advancing comprehensive peace. He also announced that he would not allow the annexation of the West Bank.
The ministers affirmed their readiness to engage in positive and constructive cooperation with the United States and other relevant parties to finalize the agreement and ensure its implementation, ensuring peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.
The statement emphasized that the ministers affirmed their shared commitment to working with the United States to end the war in the Gaza Strip through a comprehensive agreement that guarantees the unfettered delivery of adequate humanitarian aid to the Strip, the prevention of the displacement of Palestinians, the release of detainees, the establishment of a security mechanism that guarantees the security of all parties, the full Israeli withdrawal, and the reconstruction of Gaza.
For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan praised US President Donald Trump's efforts to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, affirming Türkiye's continued contribution to the process of achieving a just peace.
“I commend US President Donald Trump’s efforts and leadership to end the bloodshed in Gaza and achieve a ceasefire,” Erdogan said in a post on the X platform. “We, Turkey, will continue to contribute to the process of establishing a just and lasting peace acceptable to all parties,” he added .
Internationally, Italy welcomed President Trump's proposal to end the war in Gaza and expressed its readiness to play its part, in close coordination with the United States, European partners, and regional actors.
"The proposal presented by Trump today could represent a turning point, allowing for a permanent cessation of hostilities, the immediate release of all hostages, and full and safe humanitarian access to the civilian population," a statement from the Italian Prime Minister's office said.
For his part, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Trump's commitment to work to end the war in Gaza and release all hostages.
"I expect Israel to react firmly on this basis," Macron said in a statement on the X website. "Hamas has no choice but to immediately release all hostages and implement this plan," he said.
For his part, European Council President António Costa urged all parties to "seize this opportunity to give peace a real Netanyahu said he "supports Trump's plan for Gaza," believing it "achieves Israel's goals from the war," as he put it.
According to the Washington Post, the plan includes an immediate cessation of military operations, a freeze on "battle lines," and the release of all Israeli prisoners within 48 hours.
It also stipulates the formation of two bodies, one international and one Palestinian, to gradually assume administration of the Gaza Strip, without involving Hamas in any political or security role.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 66,055 martyrs and 168,346 wounded, most of them children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
