Mexico City, August 17.- Three weeks before the start of the regular session of Congress, the dispute over the Board of Directors continues. In an effort to demonstrate unity and listen to opinions, Ricardo Monreal, Morena's coordinator in the Senate, spoke with the candidates to preside over the Board of Directors of the upper chamber: Alejandro Armenta and José Narro.
On his Twitter account, the president of the Political Coordination Board reported on the meeting with legislators and emphasized that internal democracy strengthens his party .
“Today I met with Senators José Narro Céspedes (@NarroJose) and Alejandro Armenta Mier (@armentapuebla_), who expressed their intention to continue their campaign for the presidency of the Board of Directors of the Upper House. Internal democracy strengthens us,” he wrote.
It's worth remembering that so far, Alejandro Armenta and José Narro are the only Morena members who have expressed interest in participating in the election that the Morena Parliamentary Group will hold on August 30 or 31 as part of its plenary meeting.
