The attorney for the President Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik and President Director of PT Dosni Roha Indonesia Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo alias Rudy Tanoe, Ricky Herbert Parulian Sitohang, said that his client asked the court to declare the determination of his suspect status invalid.
"In the context of this pretrial, we request that the determination of the suspect be declared legally invalid because it does not comply with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code or the provisions of Constitutional Court Decision Number 21/PUU-XII/2014," said Ricky in the Menteng area, Jakarta, Tuesday.
Rudy Tanoe was previously named by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as a suspect in an alleged corruption case related to the distribution of social assistance at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Ricky said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)'s determination of Rudy Tanoe's suspect status was not in accordance with applicable ethics and procedures because his client had first received a notification letter regarding the commencement of an investigation (SPDP) with suspect status without being examined as a witness beforehand.
"In the context of the investigation, Bambang Rudijanto should be asked to testify as a witness first so that the information he provides can be balanced and find a middle ground on his true status," he said.
