Aymeric Laporte rejoins Athletic Club, his childhood club

 Spanish center-back Aymeric Laporte has officially rejoined Athletic Club, his boyhood club, after leaving Al-Nassr in the Saudi Arabian League.

"Athletic Club is delighted to announce the arrival of Aymeric Laporte on a free transfer from Al-Nassr. The 31-year-old defender returns to his boyhood club after a successful career abroad, bringing with him extensive experience from Europe's top leagues," Athletic Club said in a statement on its official website on Friday.

The 31-year-old defender has signed a two-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
