The Indonesia Stock Exchange has confirmed that stock trading and other investment instruments will operate normally tomorrow.
This certainty is in response to circulating issues related to the potential closure of BEI trading amid rising social and political tensions in the country.
"We can inform you that the Indonesia Stock Exchange will operate normally," said BEI Corporate Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad in a written statement.
Kautsar stated that the IDX remains committed to ensuring that the Indonesian capital market operates in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner amidst the country's social and political volatility.
"The IDX remains committed to ensuring that Indonesia's capital market activities continue to operate in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner," Kautsar said.
In trading Index (JCI) closed down 121.60 points, or 1.53 percent, to 7,830.49. Meanwhile, the 45-stock blue chip index, or LQ45, fell 14.45 points, or 1.78 percent, to 797.12.
